Eugène von Guérard: Australian Landscapes 1867

Full Circle is pleased to offer the following views of Australia by von Guérard.

Eugène von Guérard (Eugen von Guerard 1811-1901). Born in Vienna and trained in Europe, von Guérard arrived in Victoria in 1852. His meticulous landscapes show the deep influence of German romanticism on his work. The tinted lithographs which form Australian Landscapes were von Guérard's and based on his own paintings.
