A Century of Birds from the Himalayan Mountains 1830-1832

The earliest of Gould’s productions and published at his own expense, the eighty plates were drawn by Elizabeth Gould and were based on a collection of skins received by the Zoological Society of London, where Gould had been appointed Curator and Preserver in 1827 (Gould was an expert taxidermist).
